    Devon O’Nalty
    Head Coach

    Devon O’Nalty, Head Coach –

    Devon came aboard the Wesleyan coaching staff, as the Head Men’s and Women’s Diving Coach, during the 2010 – 2011 season. Since then, he has revamped the university’s diving team. Within his first six years with the program, Devon has coached a two-time NCAA Division III National Qualifier, multiple University Record-holding athletes and multiple Top-8 finishers for the NESCAC Conference. As a result of his accomplishments with Wesleyan’s team, he was awarded the 2015 – 2016 Men’s NESCAC Diving Coach of the Year award. In addition to his successes as a university coach, he has coached numerous high school athletes in the Greater Middletown area. Having coached athletes from Xavier, Mercy and Middletown High Schools, Devon has developed multiple State Open qualifiers who were later recruited to an array of collegiate programs.

    Devon graduated in 2008 and is a four-year veteran of the Marist College Red Foxes. During his final year as a Red Fox, he capped his outstanding career by securing the “Men’s Diver of the Meet” honors at the ECAC Division 1 Championship. Soon after, Devon continued his success at the NCAA Division 1 Zone qualifying meet where he placed 10th of 31 on the 1-meter board and 16th on the 3-meter board. He was later recognized as the team’s MVP and received the Coach’s award for his successes throughout his senior season. In addition to his accomplishments and accolades in the pool, he was the James Pizzani Award winner for demonstrating outstanding community service, work ethic and leadership qualities.

    Patty Conte
    Associate Head Coach

    Patty Conte, Associate Head Coach –

    Patty is a member of the class of 1988 at Hamden High School where she still holds the 6 and 11 dive school records. She was All-State her junior and senior year of high school and finished fourth at the Connecticut State-Opens her senior year. She attended Williams College where she was a two-time national champion, earning All-American honors eight times. Patty has been a high school coach since the fall of 2012. She has coached several athletes who have been State Open qualifiers and several All-SCC divers. She also coaches a summer league age group team at Paradise Country Club in Hamden. In addition to coaching, Patty spends time with her two children, JD and Emily, who too share the love for water as a swimmer and diver respectfully.
